Dynamic array: The size of the array can be changed at the run time. There are two types of arrays in Visual Basic namely: Fixed-size array: The size of array always remains the same-size doesnt change during the program execution. Array must be declared explicitly with keyword As. Functions (Visual Basic for Applications) Local arrays are declared in a procedure using Dim or Static.Dim UpperÄim MyArray(1 To 10, 5 To 15, 10 To 20) ' Declare array variables. This example uses the UBound function to determine the largest available subscript for the indicated dimension of an array. UBound returns the following values for an array with these dimensions: Statement Use the LBound function to find the lower limit of an array dimension. The UBound function is used with the LBound function to determine the size of an array. Use 1 for the first dimension, 2 for the second, and so on. Whole number indicating which dimension's upper bound is returned. Name of the array variable follows standard variable naming conventions. The UBound function syntax has these parts. Returns a Long data type containing the largest available subscript for the indicated dimension of an array.
